The Idaho Youth Ranch is a non-profit 501(c) (3) agency started in the 1950’s that offers emergency shelter, residential care, job readiness training, alternative education, adoption services, family counseling, and more for at-risk kids and their families. They also operate a network of 29 thrift stores that help fund Idaho Youth Ranch programs and services.
Idaho Youth Ranch (IYR) provides jobs for more than 350 Idahoans in communities across the state who staff our program operations, thrift stores, offices, and distribution centers.
With the vast majority of their funding going to the needs of at-risk kids and their families, the IYR is in great need of training and development assistance. The OPWL department has partnered with IYR with the goal to assist them with meeting their training and development needs while also providing virtual internship opportunities for our students and alumni.

Under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Education Lead, the Learning Design Specialist II is responsible for learning and development opportunities instrumental in the skill, development and retention of new and existing staff and clients. The primary responsibilities of this position is in the design, validation, development, and maintenance of training courses within the Revenue Cycle Education Team (RCET) through direct collaboration with operation teams and subject matter experts. The Learning Design Specialist II must have subject matter knowledge and any applicable designations in supported Electronic Health Record (EHR). This position is expected to manage learning events from concept to conclusion and will include soliciting feedback on the effectiveness. Training programs will include classroom instruction, online programs, independent study modules and on-the-job training (chair-siding). The incumbent may be asked to engage in and/or design peer development through formal train-the-trainer initiatives.
Supports the success of a high-performing shared services organization by helping to champion and drive the long-term Sutter Shared Services vision. Helps foster an environment in which continuous improvement in business processes and services is welcomed and recognized. Participates in programs and in using tools in support of building a high performance culture via the standard Sutter Shared Services responsibilities (e.g. performance measurement, people development, customer relationship management, etc.).

Collegiate Directions, Inc is seeking an Instructional Designer
Collegiate Directions, Inc supports first-generation-to-college students from low-income families to and through college and provides training for school counselors on college advising. In order to increase our impact, we are interested in transitioning our face-to-face trainings to an online format to allow more counselors to complete the training.
To lead this transition, we need an experienced instructional designer, with proficiency using either Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate, who will be able to take our existing PowerPoint slides and create interactive and engaging learning artifacts for this training. We will be able to host the finished deliverables and are looking for an instructional designer that will be able to work with us on this effort.
The ideal candidate will have at a minimum a master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology or related field and a portfolio of work that demonstrates high quality work products for online learning environments. All candidates for the position will be required to submit a portfolio of work.
While we would prefer for the instructional designer to be in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, we will consider exceptional remote applicants.
