Collegiate Directions, Inc is seeking an Instructional Designer

Collegiate Directions, Inc supports first-generation-to-college students from low-income families to and through college and provides training for school counselors on college advising. In order to increase our impact, we are interested in transitioning our face-to-face trainings to an online format to allow more counselors to complete the training.

To lead this transition, we need an experienced instructional designer, with proficiency using either Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate, who will be able to take our existing PowerPoint slides and create interactive and engaging learning artifacts for this training. We will be able to host the finished deliverables and are looking for an instructional designer that will be able to work with us on this effort.

The ideal candidate will have at a minimum a master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology or related field and a portfolio of work that demonstrates high quality work products for online learning environments. All candidates for the position will be required to submit a portfolio of work.

While we would prefer for the instructional designer to be in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, we will consider exceptional remote applicants.

To apply for this position, please submit links to portfolio work samples and an updated resume/CV to rpfeifer@collegiatedirections.org.

We are interested in starting as soon as we have identified a candidate and hope to have the first training materials completed by May 31, 2017.
