Linda Urban received her Master of Science degree in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning from Boise State. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California at Berkeley.
In addition to being an adjunct faculty, Linda Urban is a long-time independent consultant and instructor. Her current focus is on change facilitation, workplace research, program evaluation, and sustainability. She works with teams to help them develop skills, knowledge, and expertise as they transition to new ways of working. She is particularly interested in collaboration–between individuals, within and between teams, and across departments, groups, and disciplines.
She has designed, developed, and delivered many types of performance support, including documentation, online help systems, instructor-led training (face-to-face and virtual), and self-paced asynchronous training. She has also worked as a usability specialist on product development teams, and conducted usability evaluation of software and documentation.
Linda has also been an instructor at the University of California Berkeley Extension, where she has taught courses in Technical Communication, Usability Testing, Information Architecture, and Developing Online Help.
