Educational Background:

Jennifer Shamsy received her Masters of Science – Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning as well as a Workplace Instructional Design Graduate Certificate from Boise State University, Masters of Aeronautical Science – Human Factors degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and her Bachelor of Science – Aviation Technology from Purdue University.

Professional Experience:

Jennifer is a commercial airline pilot by day and instructional designer, researcher, and writer by night. Over the last twelve years, she has combined her love of aviation and passion for instructional design through course design, development, implementation, and evaluation as well as instruction of hundreds of future aviation professionals at several higher education institutions.

Since graduating from the OPWL program, she remains involved in several performance improvement initiatives including Dr. Yonnie Chyung’s WORC lab and the Idaho Youth Ranch instructional design internship program. Through collaboration with Dr. Chyung and other WORC researchers, she has participated in several program evaluations for non-profit organizations and more recently researching and writing about evidence-based survey design.
